Philosophy

Speech therapy should be fun! Monica feels that it is important to get to know each child and cater therapy around his or her interests. If a child is excited to come to therapy and "buys in," progress will be made. Monica believes in a play-based approach to therapy. For children, play is their job and is the most natural way to encourage engagement. The main goal of speech and language therapy is to help each child become a functional communicator and to educate and work with the family to promote continued growth at home.
